EDI data source integration unifies business processes

The individual transaction between two parties in shipping is often agreed by an exchange of UN EDIFACT documents. For instance, the BAPLIE standard is used for describing the current stowage condition of a vessel, and the COPRAR standard is used for informing a terminal which containers should be loaded on a particular vessel. Each document stands alone and will often be exchanged via email or similar means.

Correcting of erroneous data

When the data is converted to a standardized format we clean up the data, so it reflects what was intended and can be used in other systems that are more sensitive to the correctness of the input data.
